Planned conversions, refurbishment and construction for the future

In order to prepare projects for future development planning is a necessary prerequisite. JOSHCO’s DevelopmentDepartment has specialists who work with professional teams, assess market conditions and the targeted clientele, prepare designs and specifications, do financial simulations and obtain approvals within JOSHCO as well as from planning authorities.

The following projects are in planning phase, and will be developed according to the plans as resources become available:

AA-HouseAA House The AA House is situated at 20 Wanderers Street on the corner of Noord Street in Johannesburg. It will also be used for emergency housing and will be a combination of 215 rooms and bachelor units.Europa-HouseEuropa HouseEuropa House is located at 32 Plein Street in the Johannesburg inner city. This project will be used for emergency housing and is expected to yield a total of 152 rooms with shared facilities such as kitchens and shared ablutions.KlipspruitKlipspruitThis hostel is situated in Soweto opposite Nancefield Train Station and it is expected to produce 355 units.LinatexLinatex HouseThis project is situated at 2 Lower Page Street in New Doornfontein in Johannesburg. The project will also be used for emergency housing.SelbySelbyThis hostel is situated on the southern side of Johannesburg CBD. It will produce a total of 261 units which will be a mixture of 1 and 2 bedrooms.Vannin-CourtVannin CourtSituated at the corner of Quartz and Pietersen streets in Hillbrow, this property must be refurbished and upgraded into good quality, secure and well-managed apartments to accommodate families.
