Orlando Hostel

About the Project

This project is located at Orlando in Soweto near the decommissioned Orlando power station. The hostel is part of the Orlando eKhaya development which is the largest and most ambitious redevelopment project ever to be undertaken in the history of Soweto. It will transform the area into a sought after destination for investment, business and tourism in a captivating mix of retail, office, residential, entertainment and recreation spaces.

JOSHCO’s conversion project started in 2007 and phase one has produced 102 units consisting of 1 and 2 bedrooms which will be completed at the end of June 2010. The entire project will yield a total of 266 units when completed. Monthly rentals range from R1100 to R1800 per month for the largest unit.
