Randburg Inner City

This project will yield 192 high quality family rental apartments located in the Inner City of Randburg. The land that has been set aside for this purpose has been earmarked by the City to support new housing development in Randburg central.

The Randburg Inner City social rental housing project is at the preliminary planning stage and will reach implementation stage in July 2010. Like the Roodepoort Inner City social housing project, Randburg is a very significant project from the perspective that it focuses resources beyond the Johannesburg Inner City into Randburg which has also suffered in recent years from urban decline. Projects such as this one can assist to reverse the trend of decline, and attract private investment into the Randburg centre.
