About the Project
Tshedzani is an excellent example of inclusionary housing with a mixed income community. Located in Roodepoort’s inner city business district, this community has convenient access to schools, health care, transport and employment opportunities. To date, 414 units have been developed consisting of 82 units in phase one, 64 units in phase two, 160 units in phase three and 108 units in phase four. The Tshedzani community enjoy the benefit of a fully secured estate with 24 hour security services, parking for residents and fully equipped play areas.
The estate is managed by two live-in housing supervisors who provide quality real estate management services. The project has been funded by a social housing restructuring grant from the National Government through the Social Housing Foundation, loans from the Gauteng Partnership Fund and the Development Bank of Southern Africa and subsidies from the Gauteng Department of Local Government and Housing.
